I
Like a broken Ferris wheel,
I stay in place.
Like a dancing ballerina,
I move with grace.
Like a hot kettle,
I blow off steam.
Like a sleeping child,
I lay and dream.
Like an evil witch,
I burn at the stake.
Like roaring waterfall,
I crash into a lake.
Like a gallant warrior,
I fight with pride.
Like a playful child,
I run and hide.
Like a newborn baby,
I let out a cry.
Like a tiny bird,
I learn to fly,
Like an hungry fish,
I take the bait.
Like a sick elderly,
I accept my fate.

Have you ever wondered?
Have you ever wondered?I wonder what she’s feeling as she sniffs drugs up her nose.Is she aware that she’s hurting others? Do you think she even knows?I wonder what he’s thinking as he shoots heroine through his vein.Have you ever stopped to think if he’s doing this for personal gain?I wonder what she’s feeling as she drinks her eighth beer.Do you think she’s drowning away the pain that draws near?I wonder what he’s thinking as he hits his wife in her face.Do you think he feels like a man putting his wife ‘in her place?’I wonder what she’s feeling as she drives her car near a lake.Did you ever wonder what’s stopping her from slamming her foot on the brake?I wonder what he’s thinking as he points the gun to his head.Do you think he’ll find peace when his last drop of blood has been shed?I wonder what she’s feeling as she cries herself to sleep.Don’t you ever wonder exactly what happened to cause this child to weep?A problem we all have is that we spend too much time complaining about the little things that aren’t going well in our lives. We never stopped to think… to think that there are others out there who would do anything to complain about spilled milk, or their wife spending thousands of dollars in a Prada bag. It would be nice for them to worry about things such as those, rather than pray to be drug free, alcohol free, pain free, worry free… and just plain free.
